27.05.26 - photos and things

So yet again I've found myself with a load of photos and not much to say (I think). Sunshine has been nice but I do not do well in the heat.

So, let's see. Dan managed to find this at the honesty library (or a charity shop)

Now I know I had Moonchild on my amazon wishlist for YEARS. I have some feeling that it was hard to get a hold of or expensive.

I can see from my emails/receipts that I finally bought a copy for £10.42 in 2024. It is now available on amazon for £11-13. Has the price gone down, or has my opinion on what is 'expensive' for a secondhand book changed wildly?

Either way,  I have two now.

For other reading, here's some I've had on the go recently. I took this photo on 13.05.26 - although it still took me a while to start on Night of the Crabs. I just finished that today - I had the idea that I was going to read it in a day and take lots of photos, but it was hard to get in the right mindset. I did take photos though, and it will get it's own post.
Atmosphere was the months book for our LGBTQ+ book club, and Mictlan is a strange book about a journey through the Aztec afterlife which is also going to take me a while because I'm looking up all the pronunciations as I go.

Here are some food items I saw in the shops. I didn't buy the first two.

Then a few more charity shop book finds. I don't think the Diana Dors one needs any explanation.

This one had two labels, unfortunately removing the older one has destroyed the cover.

I have absolutely no idea what this is, and therefore I will probably be reading it very soon.

Also here's a picture of Zoe checking if I have any tea left.

Oh and pocket poetry from The Aftershock Review

Went out for lunch on 16.05.26 and saw this very good doggo.

Some other things seen at the shops that day

The owls are not what they seem

And these shoes which, while I love the little mermaid vibes, I am not convinced about the heels.

And unsure why this boob mask has a joke name referring to butts.

We saw these fairytale plates for the second time, and since Dan was tempted too (he wanted both, I just wanted the golden goose one) we ended up getting them.

Too many photos, too little energy... you'll have to tilt your phone or your head

I also bought these bookmarks for 50p each, which seemed like a good idea until a friend pointed out that they might damage pages. Oops.

In other news, Dan is trying to get a 3d printer working. Here is a boap.

And here are my latest pin badges

I also joined the Siberian Lizard sticker club, so more cute things

This includes a custom print of Fergus.

I asked Dan if he thought it was accurate.

"No", he said "It's awake"

He may have a point

I think I'm going to end this entry on these street scenes from 17.05.26. It may be cooler today than it has been, but I'm still feeling unreasonably tired (or maybe just unreasonable)
