Old AOL Memories...

Oh god, have we got to that point? I'm being nostalgic for my early days online...
ah well, it has to happen I suppose.
I'm looking for a person called 'Weezl'. I don't think that was their full screen name back then, it was SuperWeezl or LordWeezl or something. They had some sort of honorific. Did AOL award honorifics? I seem to remember talking to a few people with the same one, but maybe it was just a AOL clique.
I used to post on the AOL message boards (and I'm going to stop capitalising that because sheesh), mainly sharing terrible poetry, but also discussion TV shows (thats when I first found out what a spoiler was... when I accidentally gave away the series finale of both 'Friends' and 'Frasier' for someone...)

I remember a few screen names from back then, and it would be nice to hear from any of them... Nakoad, DrrNeil, Spunk1618... and there was someone who seemed to have a huger crush on Eric Idle, and at one point posted a rewritten version of the 'American Pie' lyrics, but all to do with parrots.

But I digress. Weezl, whoever they were, had a link to their homepage on their signature. I suspect the site has gone the way of lots of people's personal sites from the 90's... but I still remember it. It had a page called the 'Battersea Typo Demons Home', where people sent in their paint-rendered images of the critters that live in their computer and cause them to spell so terribly.

There was also a re-telling/summary of 'Titanic' that included a few references to 'Hornblower' that I didn't get (apparently the link was that 'Ioan Grufford looks gorgeous in both'). I found it hilarious and would really like to reread it.

That's all really. A silly bit of 90's fanfic that I still think about today. Even without watching Old-Rose drop the necklace with 'an annoying 'oops' sound'.
